The first round of the revamped Tasmanian Rally Series - Huon Rally was held over 122 competitive kms on 5th April 2003 in the forests south of Hobart. In the new format all cars compete over all stages and are eligible to take outright honours. A discrepancy between the roadbook and actual stage length on SS9 saw this stage deleted from the results. Outright winners were brothers Jamie & Simon Vandenberg in a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 3 by 23 seconds from Lynn Rattray & Lindon Hills in a Subaru Impreza. See a photo you like, why not order a print.
